Hi Everyone
Can anyone clarify what, if any, records other than Established Church of Scotland are held on OPR's at SP. I am looking in the Peterhead area and found that there are several old churches - ie. Methodist, Episcopal, Baptist, RC & Zion Tabernacle. Being a bit of a Philistine I am not sure if some or any come under the heading 'Established Church of Scotland' or not. Can anyone clarify for a poor heathen?
Thanks lots
Ted

Hi Ted
I'm sure someone will be able to tell you more, but as far as I'm aware the OPRs are just that - Old Parish Registers from the local Parish (protestant) Church.
Any other church records other than that will not turn up in the OPRs as far as I'm aware. I do know that Free Church, Episopalian and as far as I know any other flavour other than "plain vanilla" , if records exist for them, are probably to be found in the National Archives of Scotland, next door to NRH, so not online at SP.
Best wishes
Lesley
