mauchline parish records .....

I have a couple of McKerrow married to McKerrow and wondered if anybody has access to the parish records to help me work out who is who.
I have a John McKerrow c 1758 mauchline married to Margaret McKerrow c 1758
First child John McKerrow c 1780 Mauchline.
Could really do with both sets of parents to work out how closely rlated they were

Noticed your unanswered post when browsing.

This is a difficult one, because even with acces to the Mauchline OPRs, there is no certainty that both parents names will be given. Often there is only the father's name.

Hi Gloria
You could maybe order the OPR from your local LDS centre and have a look at it yourself. This woudl be the best option cos then you might spot other children born to the same parents whcih might help put a clearer picture together. But as Catriona has said, sometimes the info given in the OPRs can be very basic, which makes it difficult to be sure about things.

Hello Gloria,

Have you tried the IGI family search site.
I found a couple of children for this couple in Mauchline on there but no John.
It is not a lot to go on but may lead somewhere.

you may have seen this already but my curiosity made me "Google"for the name MCKERROW and there is an interesting site for them in Ayrshire.
