Known Tay Bridge Disaster Victims


Based on the tickets collected at the last station before the bridge, St Fort Station, it was estimated that the total of passengers and crew on the train was 75, although only 46 bodies were ever recovered.


The 60 names listed by the police were:

Note that the above list is not exhaustive, - there may have been up to another 15 victims whose names were never recorded by the police, although you would imagine that employees of the railway company, in this case the North British Railway Company, would be well documented.
