Finding births and deaths without a name

Post by jeannie.mackenzie » Mon Feb 23, 2015 5:53 am

I'm researching an incident in 1950 in Glencoe Maternity Hospital when most of the newborn babies dies because of a diphtheria outbreak (I was one of the few survivors). I want to check the facts that I only know from family memory and would like to find the names and number of those born who died. I don't have names but know the parish where they would be registered. All the searches on Scotland's People seem to demand a name. Any suggestions?

Have you tried putting just :
Year Range - 1950 - 1950
Birth Year - 1950 + 0
District - Glencoe

into the death search on SP? - that brought up 6 hits.

I'm assuming the district was Glencoe?
Though you may find the parents came from different districts so they may be scattered around the immediate districts too.
