The latest one I found? A relative on the 1911 Canadian census, very clearly born in Scotland according to the actual page where "Scotland" was written out in full, transcribed on Ancestry as having been born in South Carolina. :shock:

And yes, it definitely is. My very first search on the 1901 gave me three Annie McLeans, all said to be born "about 1883", all listed as 8 years old. Hmmm... math may not be my strong suit, but I'm pretty sure 1901-8 does not equal 1883. :roll:

Kathy - I had just noticed that too - they seem to be using 1891 as the reference point instead of 1901 for calculating year of birth.
