Now found the 1851 census which is definitly her and it says birth place Maryburgh(Originally: Inverness-shire - Maryborough)

Hi Tracey,
Googling for Maryburgh and Kilmallie gives various webpages that imply that Maryburgh has now been absorbed into Fort William.
To see Maryburgh on a map, go to http://www.nls.uk/digitallibrary/map/early/506.html and click on the "top section" map. Just to the left of the map name "Northern Part of Argyllhire" is Fort William, with Maryburgh immediately south of it (in the Inverness-shire part of Kilmallie parish).

Finally a map i can work my way around, i like this oneAccording to an old 1842 gazetteer there is a Maryburgh village in Kilmallie Parish, Inverness.

While searching for one of mine ,there is a Maryburgh shown just south of Dingwall.
Try this link,then go to Ross and Cromarty,Dingwall is towards top right.
