National Archives have and Accident Book for North British Railways that covers 1907-1910

This would require a trip to Edinburgh on the hope that the file contained details of the accident. But no guarantees.
Does the RCE mention a 'Jury' or 'By Jury', which would indicate a Fatal Accident Inquiry was carried out?

Thanks for this info John. We were in Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago. If only I'd known I would be looking into this then. Ah well next time we're down that way.
