Hi Jean,
Well I hope you both don't think I fall into that category
I've always wondered what the true story about Poland Springs bottled water was?
David the water in Scotland, at least where I stayed was very refreshing and my cousin oldest son workes for the water department in the Kilbarchan area and if I remember correctly Graham said that there wasn't any Fluoride or Chlorine in their water system?
I do admit to buying a bottle of water on the run ($1 not $60), I prefer it to soda and less calories too. I save the bottle and refill it will my own water from the tap and but in back in the refrigerator for next time.
Regards
Marilyn

Turn on the cold tap here in Bristol and you'd swear you'd just walked into a swimming pool, the smell of chlorine is so strong!
Even our cats won't drink it till it has been sitting around for a few hours and the smell dissipates
There is always one of those water filter jugs well topped up in our fridge.

"cause problems" indeed... I had giardia when I lived in India and
never want to risk that again

You wouldn't want to hear the details

Our water both in Idaho and France comes from a spring on our land and tests out fine-- but I always pass the drinking water through a ceramic gravity filter just in case. The tap water where we are in Minnesota is so chlorinated you don't want to drink it or make coffee or tea with it. So we filter that water too. Not as good as the spring water, but at least it's drinkable after filtering!

Sarah

Tracey's not kidding, the water is awful in New York. I could smell the chlorine in the glass of water set in front of me at the restaurant.
Needless to say we ordered a beverage that passed through many filters.

Yes Marilyn, it's always wise to have something which has been distilled to remove the impurities and offending odours
