My plot is bought & paid for in between my Parents & paternal Granny & my elder sister & hubby.I am hoping I will be last to be interred.
There's a great view of the OK hills & just across the wall from where my Great-Granny lived for years. There must be at least four generations there including GGGreat-Grandparents & three sets of Greats plus all my Grandparents,My Dad,Uncles,Great Aunts/Uncles.We will have a great reunion.

Well while we're on such a cheerful subject, my dad had not expressed any views on the subject, so after the cremation, my sister and I decided to spread his ashes in her garden - he'd spent so much time working on it over the years, because her house is built on what used to be part of his front garden! We thought he might like to appreciate all his hard work.

Hi Marilyn,

So you've had another birthday. Not to worry! Turns out, I'm older than you are! Happy Birthday!

My husband and I have both decided to be cremated. His reasons are altruistic--saving space on the planet, etc.

My reason isn't--I want my ashes scattered in the woods because I don't want anyone putting plastic flowers on my grave!!!

Carol :D
Looking for: Clerihew, Longmuir/Longmore, Chalmers, Milne, Barclay in Newhills,
Munro, Cadenhead, Raitt, Ririe/Reary

Hi Carol,

Sometimes I think about being cremated and 1/2 of my ashes being spread on my favorite ski trail in New Hampshire, but then I decided against it just in case there is an afterlife, I want to be in one place.

Speaking of plastic flowers, I once went to this old cemetery looking for a relative's gravesite and had to turn around, but before i did there were this grave covered with plastic flowers. So naturally I had to go over to look and there had to be hundreds of them stuck in the ground, it was so odd looking and yes, very tacky......

Regards
Marilyn

Marilyn

A belated Happy Birthday. If I remember what you wrote at first correctly all I can say is that that is a vintage year! Not that a mere slip of a lass like me could possibly have been born then or anything like that.

Anne,

Thank you for the belated birthday wishes and if my memory serves me correctly  you're right behind me in years, so lets pop a cork and have a toast of that vintage wine... [pour-drink]

Happy Birthday to you Anne, [birthday]
