I found Talking Scot through Help & Other Resources on ScotlandsPeople.

Many people have helped me, especially Jack, whose help has been enormous.

It has been great to ask a question, find out what other people have been doing or just follow other's messages.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to give other people the help I have received. :(

This is really a great site! \:D/

Hello all
I have only been using TS for a couple of months and can only sing loud and clear everyones praises. Never have I had a querie go unanswered and the effort and time put in by you all is wonderful and in this Family History bug that we all have, time is something that we have to little of. Once again thanks all, cant choose one gem from the other.
:D :D one smiles not enough
Cheers

What a relief to find you all again.....a good number of you have helped me in the past on the Scotland's People Forum. Am already feeling quite 'at home ' among you ..now that I'm back on the old genealogy trail again.

As Moira posted "What a relief to find you all again.....a good number of you have helped me in the past on the Scotland's People Forum. Am already feeling quite 'at home ' among you ..now that I'm back on the old genealogy trail again."

Couldn´t agree more, though I generally feel more stuck in a puddle, than forging ahead on a trail!

Anyway, great site.

I thought I'd posted here once before - but I can't find it, so perhaps ah didnae.

In no particular order, here are a list of peeps who inspire me on this forum on a regular basis:
Nelmit, especially for her Mitchell efforts ( and who has every right to get on her soapbox when her kindness has been abused )
Jack also for his Mitchell work and all the time he looked up people on the censuses before and after they becames available online.
JustJean for inspiration in the "out of the box" area
David WW for adding science to the art of genealogy .
LesleyB for amazing ability to answer any post no matter what.
AndrewP for singlehandledly taking on all hings Enbra and being Mr Mercator as well.
AnneM for the beautiful writing that makes me cry and inspires me to try to put my thoughts down ...
Andy for his devotion to Rathlin genealogy
Catriona pour la combinaison des meilleures etiquettes françaises et Scoattish
Davie pour la combinaison des etiqeuttes meilleures Scoattish et Weegie.
Dennis pour ëtre une des 2 people I think I directed here et qui kepy posting ( making me feel quasi-useful)
SarahND for finishing half started ideas.
Blanche Eileen Mitchell/Jarvis for keeping me thinking ! I"v not posted on Maud's queries but I approach all new resources with her ( or Maud) in mind )
IsobelC for always taking up the challenge.
Joette for being able to write about those deceased, whom she knew, in a nostalgic; relevant yet not maudlin style.
All Moderators - one only has to look at certain other boards ........

A Big Hand for Mr Maritime Resources HUGH STEVELY =D> =D> =D>
Russell and Mallog are 2 knoing posters whose humour I enjoy.

Trouble with these posts is that you wlll always forget people who deszrve a biig mention i

I ask SPECIAL COMMENDATON for

I am glad this has turned up again, I did not get a chance to show my gratitude before.

I will shorten it as the list would be too long, but I have to say Sporron, David WW and Jack. I would not be where I am today without the help of these three gentlemen.

I will be forever grateful.
