Hi Everyone,

Well like you all I've been too busy searching to post here!
So a big thanks again to Chris and Maggie.
I haven't unfortunately found anything on my Scottish lot but my English gt gt grandfather popped up. He fancied himself as an inventor and having recently found a US patent for his glove fasteners(!) I've now found an advert for his "Impregnable Safe". :D

Happy hunting!
Best wishes,
Meg

Hi Andrew,

I just picked one family name and then searched for it in a limited time span--five years--to start with. I can only sit here and read these things for so long especially since I have dial-up and downloading pages can be very tedious!

Looking for: Clerihew, Longmuir/Longmore, Chalmers, Milne, Barclay in Newhills,
Munro, Cadenhead, Raitt, Ririe/Reary

Hi Meg
I've now found an advert for his "Impregnable Safe".
Ah... so that is where he is hiding all those rellies you are having problems finding - sounds more likely to me than that "alien spaceship" theory that gets a regular airing!

Best wishes
Lesley

Leslie,

You're right the impregnable safe is a much better theory than the alien abduction one!

On the other hand think how rich I might be if the safe had truly been impregnable. And of course with those glove fasteners too............! :)

Best wishes,
Meg

Hi All,

Has anyone tried accessing this today?
I've tried both links and can no longer get into the site with either. Anyone else had this problem?

Best wishes,
Meg
