How can we south of the border help?.....
I have received so much help since I became a member of TalkingScot and really do appreciate the time and effort put in by those who are helping others. I don't enjoy being a 'taker' all the time, so is there any way we south of the border can help members?

Hi Gran
Your offer of help is duly noted and well appreciated!! The best way you can help though is to visit the site regularly and keep reading the posts. If one comes along that you can assist with then just jump in and give a response. Don't worry about being a taker .....the time will surely come when you can turn around and help someone else. That is one of the nicest side effects of genealogy......passing it on
Oh....and maybe you'd like to come to our online Beach Party and join in the fun and festivities....and also help us try to set a record for number of members online at one time
Best wishes
Jean

Hi Gran,I know just how you feel as I have had loads of help from the people on TS and I live in Canada.Jean is right ,keep your eyes open you never know when you might have an answer or a source. One thing you can do though is to post our TS poster at your local history center or library. There may be others in your area who might also need some help with their wee Scottish rellies. You may never be able to help the person who has helped you but that's ok as they don't do it expecting payback. They help because they can and they are just as addicted as the rest of us.
