How do I find List of Clergy in England 1800's? .....

Hi,

Hoping someone may be able to guide me to where I can find a list of Clergy for England 1780's - 1820's , In particular I am looking for the parish of Toftrees, Norfolk.

Unfortunatley, Crockfords Directory, - see http://www.crockford.org.uk/ , - didn't start publishing until 1858. How far back the 1858 records go I'm unsure.

As far as I'm aware CoE clerics had to be graduates of Oxford or Cambridge, but can't see anything immediately on Google, - that may be because of the collegiate structure of these universities.

Try contacting the CoE on http://www.cofe.anglican.org/contact/ to see what assistance they can offer.
