Re: Wifi at SP Centres
Hi Laura,
Happy New Year to you.
Last time I was in the SP Centre in Edinburgh, there was no public wi-fi. As I never use my quota of data on my mobile phone, I use that as a wi-fi hotspot to give me wi-fi on my laptop that I take with me.
As an international visitor, it may be worth your while having a UK mobile phone (or at least a UK SIM card) for that purpose, otherwise you could pay dearly for roaming data.
For more info, see:

and the various pages linked from there.
All the best,

There is public WIFI although from comments I have seen it can be patchy / slow.

Re: Wifi at SP Centres
I was in the SP Centre today, and can report the NRS Free Wi-Fi was there and working. I think it must be new since my last visit. It wasn't always at full strength, and it will disconnect you after a period of time if you are not using it (fair enough). However, it did what I wanted it to do and its speed was fine.
All the best,

That's briiliant, Andrew! When I was there in 2013, I was not properly prepared. I am planning a trip to Scotland this year and got mixed reports about wifi access at the SP Centres. Thank you so much, Andrew.
Kind regards,
Laura

Hi Laura,
I can only comment about the main SP Centre in Edinburgh. I don't know what the wi-fi situation is at any of their outposts. Their outposts are all in buildings belonging to other organisations, so the wi-fi situation may depend on the hosts.
The outposts are listed at the foot of the following webpage:
https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/visit-us
.
All the best,
