Marriage searches on IGI .....

Hello All,

When searching for a marriage in OPRs on IGI, it's worth searching putting the bride's name first. On a couple of occasions it's given me the bride's father's name.
e.g. Search for Robert Plenderleath and Elisabeth Paterson gives the place and date. Search for Elisabeth Paterson and Robert Plenderleath gives place, date and father Charles Paterson.

Unfortunately it doesn't happen every time, as the bride's father isn't always named in the OPRs, but it's worth a try.

Yes, it is worth a try, Alison. Sometimes you get lucky.
