Hi All
Thanks to the tremendous efforts of Marilyn LaRoche (aka Morning) there will shortly be a link to TS on the Rhode Island Historical Society web site, with more than a good chance that the same will follow on the equivalant New England site.
Congratulations to Marilyn for arranging this. How about contacting your local city/state/province genealogical society and explaining to them the benefits of a link to the premier Scottish genealogical discussion group?

Hello Davie
Wanting to give something back to the DG here on TS for all the help I've received over the past year, I simply made a few phone calls to the Genealogy Societies in my local area and asked for the Director of the Reference Department. Next I explained the benefits of the TalkingScot's DG to anyone searching their British ancestor's, plus more! I then asked if they would consider posting a link to the TalkingScot's Hompage? Lastly, I shall post the address for the web-link, as soon as its available.
I encourage everyone, all over the world to take a chance and make a phone call to your local Genealogy Society! Good Luck Everyone...
Regards
ML

I would like to thank James Simspson for placing a link to TS on his website at my request. His website can be found at http://www.angelfire.com/sc2/tullibody/ and is very interesting. Thanks again James.

Great to see that James Simpson has added a link, however, we wouldn't be here without Scotland's People and he doesn't seem to have a link to the main site!AnnetteR wrote:I would like to thank James Simspson for placing a link to TS on his website at my request. Searching for Keogh, Kelly, Fitzgerald, Riddell, Stewart, Wilson, McQuilkin, Lynch, Boyle, Cairney, Ross, King, McIlravey, McCurdy, Drennan and Woods (to name but a few).
Also looking for any information on Rathlin Island, County Antrim, Ireland.

Even more congratulations to Marilyn, as, via her contact with the New England society, TalkingScot has received a very positive write-up in the Eastman Newsletter, - seeDavidWW wrote:Hi All

The link to Scotland's People is in there Andy although not obvious at first glance. It is in the General Register Office for Scotland link.Andy wrote:
