I was looking for something completely unconnected and stumbled across this site. Anyone looking for information about old Glasgow will, I think, find this an interesting site to browse around on.

I've been browsing on the site for the last hour - it's fascinating and I can't believe the size of the houses! Also great maps of the old city and information about well-known people in the city back in the 1800s. Just pray it rains soon and you can have an excuse to enjoy a browse round old Glasgow toon.

Thank you so much!! I've managed to find a short biography (plus photo) of my gguncle, Alexander Humboldt Sexton, who was a professor at Glasgow Technical College. Most interesting - it all adds colour to the family history. Brilliant!!
