Just to report that I have found my elusive Gallaghers. After many hours at the puter going bleary eyed I had to take the plunge and goto SP, found my ggranda and his brother and sisters that was a shock coz only thought of him being only child. Also found living with them in 1901 was 2 uncles so rapidly went to I G I and lo and behold found what I've been looking for these past months his mother and his grandparents. I enquired about his older brother in 1881 and found that he also had an older brother and his parents, but his birth mother must have died between 1881 and 1884. His father must have either married my gggrannie or lived in sin.
I now feel that side of the family is nearly finished coz that was holding me back.
Keep at it you'll get there in the end.
Found my Gallaghers at last !!!
