Hi

How about this one in 1901 in Heaton, County of Newcastle upon Tyne

28 Stannington Place

Robt McM Park Head Mar 33 Travelling Draper Worker Scotland
Mary J Park Wife Mar 20 Northumberland, Hexham
Bridget Foster M in law Wid 58 do do

There are other candidates but I liked the middle initial on this one.

Anne

Oops should have checked his marriage sooner. That one is Robert McMorran Park and not McMenemin as I had hoped. Sorry probably a red herring. Do you have any idea of an occupation for Robert?

Hi Anne,
thanks for looking.
No middle name on b.cert., but that doesn't really mean anything.
The only occupation I have for him is labourer.
This is from P/H record on his mother.

Hi again Cathy

How do you know he was in Manchester in 1902. Is it on mother's poorhouse record?? I'm struggling to find a likely candidate in the census records.

Hi again

There is a 35 year old Robert Park dying in Oldham in 1903. That would give you the right age but there's minimal way of knowing if it is him.

Anne

Rats, I'm not helping much here. It seems likely that this chap was a Robert Park married to an Elizabeth and born in Hull! :( :( [sigh] [comp-hammer] Poor man also had the privilege of being a 'midnight mechanic.' All together now... "Some say that he died of a fever. Some say that he died of a fright..........."

Think I'll leave better minds than mine to have a shot at Robert. Help someone!!!!!!!!!!!!
