Hi Lee

This is on www.freebmd.org

Deaths Sep 1878
CRAGG Hannah 75 Cockermouth 10b 340

...............dont know if its yours or not but as far as i am aware unless one of her parents registered her death they wont be named on the certificate.
Was she also married in England or just died there ?
If she was married in England after 1837 the marriage certificate should name her father

Just in case it is of use................
This is what you are likely to find on any ceritificate you may get if Hannah was born (after 1837), married or died in England taken from www.findmypast.com which used to be called 1837online
Birth certificates give the date and place where the event occurred, the child's forename(s), and the name and occupation of the father, the name and maiden surname of the mother (with her usual residence if the birth took place elsewhere), and the name and address of the informant for the registration.
A marriage certificate gives the names and usually the ages of the marrying couple, their addresses and occupations, the names and occupations of their fathers, the date and place of marriage, and the names of the witnesses.
Death certificates record name, date, place, age, cause of death, occupation, residence if different from the place of death, and the name and address of the informant for registration. They do not show place of birth or parentage.
