Old streets in Blantyre

Can anyone tell me anything about a place called Hart's Land, Greenside Street, Blantyre. I've received a birth certificate for one of my relations who was born there in 1916. I'd like to know more about this place.

Now i was born and raised in Blantyre until age of 12 but don't remember such a street then again i was born in 1963... If anyone knows or knew the above address i would be grateful.

From what I've come across in Edinbugh & Leith a place referred to as "someone's" land is often a building, which operated a bit like a tenenment, with lots of separate households living within that "land".
Many of the old houses in the high street in Edinburgh were "someone's land" such as "Gladstone's Land" which is open to the pulic as an example of ths layered kind of living.

Hi Katie, Harts Land or (Herts Lawn) as they say in Blantir.
This area taking in Greenside Street was known locally as the Stud, because of the profusion if children who where born and lived there!
