Re: Joseph JARDINE

Hi AndrewP, Thank you for the information. As you will see I am trying to find Joseph Jardine's parents. Joseph married Janet Kerr Hayhill, Rosebank in 1792. There was a James Jardine who died Dixons in 1797 and was curious to see if Dixons was near Hayhill. There was also a Thomas Jardine who died ...

Re: Joseph JARDINE

Could anyone please tell if Dixons /Dicksons and Whitholm/Wheatholm [different spellings] were farms in Tundergarth in the early 1800's and where they were.

There is also a Hayhill I am checking, might have been an estate in Tundergarth.

Re: Joseph JARDINE/Canada death

Hello Frances,

That was ever so kind of you to go to the library for me.

Yes, I doubt whether the parents names would have been on the ships record. A death notice may have held a reference.

Finding Joseph's parents, would be the icing on the cake.

Kind regards,

Re: Joseph JARDINE/Canada death

I agree, Well Done =D>

Thank you so much, Frances, very much appreciated :D .

That's all the Jardine family (except Thomas, who didn't go) Had hoped it would have given Joseph's parents.

Does it give the name of the ship anywhere.

Kind regards,

Re: Joseph JARDINE/Canada death

Hello Sarah,

No, I haven't seen the Passenger and Immigration Lists Index, 1500s-1900s.

Where would I look for this, please.

Regards,

Margaret
