What an interesting discussion. And yet again it just shows how you never know what you're going to find out next.
I followed the link that Frances left a few days ago using my great-grandfathers middle name Cassels, as I have no idea as yet where that name comes from.
My great-grandfather's full name was Charles Cassels Grieve - so you can imagine my surprise to find a child was born in February 1871 to William Tulloch and Ann Cunningham. This child was called Charles Cassels Grieve Tulloch.
All I can say is I presume that my great-grandfather was William Tulloch's employer! How else can you explain my great-grandfather's exact name being given to a child?
Any Tullochs out there who know anything?
