It's awfy quiet here lately! Or is something wrong with the board? I haven't seen a new post in almost 2 days, so just wondering!

Hi Nina,

Nothing wrong with the board. It is just quiet just now.

Anybody got any brick walls that they have been saving for a rainy day? Time to ask the questions.

All the best,

AndrewP

Greetings.

On Monday Oct 22, was labour day here in NZ and though the weather was not at all good, the long weekend marks the first holiday of spring, and our high season until Easter, so the traffic to the Holiday homes was very busy Friday night until late. and again Monday afternoon/ evening. Therefore many would not have been at their computers.

Does Australia have a long weekend about now as well ? In years past a large Waikato Agricultural & Pastural [A&P] SHOW was held at this time over several days, and was usually your first time to geat really sun burnt if not careful.

Aye, certainly quiet this weather,
Always have a wee look in every day to see the forums and what's happening with the searches for other peoples families.
Such a good website, and you all seem to work hard to keep it so.
Ray.

I virtually stopped searching after i bought a Macbook Pro and couldnt install Legacy on it !!
Then last September my dad had a Stroke and died two months later and so its amost been a year taken up with one thing or another (Olympics and Paralympics included went to three events :D ) but no research. I do though have a new unexpected 58 year old addition, a new cousin who lives locally - say no more !.

Old brick walls i have two or three of but i have posted about them before and felt a bit silly asking again and what to ask ? but i will happily dig them up :D
Scotland - Donaldson / Moggach / Shaw / Geddes / Sim / Gray / Mackie / Richards / Joel / Coull / Mckimmie / Panton / McGregor
Ireland and Scotland - Casey / McDade / Phillips / McCandle / Dinely / Comaskey + various spellings
