Welcome to TalkingScot
As you can see there are many alternative ecategories listed in the opening board page. Personally, I always start with clicking on the right upper page on the option to "view new posts" on the third line which shows everything posted since the last time I was on the site (providing you log on each time).
Seeing that you've posted a number queries, you may also be interested in the search option located in the first line at the top right hand of the page. This would allow you to look through any previous postings related to families with the same name, focusing on either just the surname or using both the first and surnames.
It is helpful to those answering your queries, if you include some of the places you have searched already or the general source of information you have already gathered to avoid duplication.
Hopefully, this is of some help until you get some specific responses to your queries.
Again, Welcome to TalkingScot!
