Inverkeithing Donald family help please

Does anyone have Janet Donald 1790 - 1868 Born: Inverkeithing, Fifeshire, Scotland Died: Inverkeithing, Fifeshire, in there tree I have her husband and children but I don't have anything for her family like parents siblings there wives husbands or children it would be lovely to extend the family further any help really would be appreciated many many thanks

It may be helpful to look up her death record on http://www.ScotlandsPeople.gov.uk which should show her parent's names, provided the person reporting her death knew the correct information. As compulsory registration did not occur until 1855 in Scotland, you may find her birth/baptismal/marriage records in the Old Parish Registers there, or may even find some family information in the census records. Often there are extended family living together.

Another option would be to use FamilySearch.com where you can do some preliminary weeding at no cost before moving on to ScotlandsPeople which is a pay-as-you-go site.
