In Canada we have Army, Navy and Air Cadets. (2 of my rugrats have been members Mandy was in the 537 Gander Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron, and Rob The HMCS Acadia Sea Cadets) though military based they are not actual military but groups along the lines of Scouts or Guides for teens with a military theme of training.
Questions...
Does the UK have the same sort of groups ?(from goggling about I think so,but I'm not 100%)
Would it be possible to move from the teens group to the regular forces (especially before or during WW1?
Would there be any records of these groups?

Re: Army Cadets
Hi, we certainly do in the UK.
Here's a history of the Army Cadet Force https://armycadets.com/about-us/our-history/ been going since 1859.
Not sure on the 'Air Training Corps' or 'Sea Cadets'.
When I was in the army cadets as a kid many of the cadets did join up to the full army, on reaching 18.
