I've had a an all access subscription to Ancestry.com for several years now but most of my finds are from the UK. I've been thinking of switching to having UK only, and trying to save some money but it looks like the UK only costs the same as world explorer, at least buying it from here in the USA. I've been paying almost $400 a year and getting very little for my money.
Does any of our UK members have ancestry subscription for UK only and if so can you tell me how much it costs, purchasing it in the UK?

Re: Ancestry subscriptions UK only
Ina,
I have been subscribing through the UK site for years (World subscription), even though most of what I look up is from the U.S. It worked out cheaper that way. Now, unfortunately, the price has gone up in the UK and it is no longer such a good deal. However, the point is that you can subscribe through the UK site even if you are not in the UK. Just go to Ancestry.co.uk and sign up there. At least it used to work for me!
Cheers,
Sarah

Thanks Annette and cousin Sarah, I'm going to call them tomorrow and change to the UK premium. Will save me $100 + per year. =D> =D>

Re: Ancestry subscriptions UK only
If you ever need anything looked up in the rest of the world, just let me know. I'm likely to keep subscribing as long as I can still afford to eat occasionally
Maybe one day we will figure out how we are cousins!

Re: Ancestry subscriptions UK only
Thanks Sarah, I appreciate the offer.
I just broke down a BIG brick wall thanks to Ancestry DNA a few weeks ago. Matched a fellow from Eask Kilbride as a fourth cousin.......his gg grandfather was my gg grandfather's brother, so we share the same ggg grandparents. I've checked this man's tree out and found it all to be accurate. So now that I've confirmed his tree here are a few more names that might help you and I find out our connection.......Borland, Nisbet. Glover, Miller and Walker.
Thanks again,
Ina

=D> Great news! Nice to know that brick walls are falling
And thanks for the new surnames -- I'll let you know if any of them show up in my matches.
Best,
Sarah
