Best for Family Research?
This has been asked previously I'm sure. Which is best for family research in English birth/death and marriage records, 'Find My Past' or 'Ancestry UK', or is there no difference other than cost?

Re: Best for Family Research?
Each have their positives - can often relate to which counties are of main interest.
For the GRO BDM indexes they are much the same - although I think FMP may go a year or two later than ancestry. FMP also has the overseas indexes. Looking at country baptisms/marriages/burials many counties have formed relationships with one or the other. e.g. the London Metropolitan Archives have their records on Ancestry. I think each offers a trial period so try that to see which one suits you best.
Official BDM records have to be purchased at a cost of 9.15 each. The county marriage certificates are virtual duplicates of the official certificates and using the ancestry family trees, some users have loaded their certificates and made them available for any subscriber to use.
