A couple of names stand out as potential candidates in the index when you do a death search.

James Alexander Boyd died 1988 in Glasgow age 68
Mary Brown Boyd died 1997 at Maybole age 83

You can check the birth at Bothwell of Mary at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk

Annette

Mary's birthdate is supposed to be 1914 Nov. 20 in the previous post. I tried to edit it, but it doesn't look like I succeeded!
