It's really weird of someone to set up something like that.

I checked the Internet Archive and there's something there. http://web.archive.org/web/201603041251 ... fhs.co.uk/

"The Alloway and Southern Ayrshire Family History Society closed on 31 March 2015 and their website is no longer available.

Other Family History Societies in Ayrshire are East Ayrshire FHS, who have taken over ASAFHS’s publications, Troon @ Ayrshire FHS and Largs & North Ayrshire FHS."

That's the Family History Society page on the TalkingScot site updated now (last update had been Aug 2014).

Alloway and Southern Ayrshire FHS link removed (left info in its place)
Family History Society of Buchan - address updated
Largs & North Ayrshire FHS renamed as North Ayrshire FHS
Lothians FHS - address updated
Troon & Ayrshire FHS renamed as Troon @ Ayrshire FHS

If any of you out there find links on any of the TalkingScot webpages not working, please let us know and we will do whatever needs to be done to update or remove the link, whichever is appropriate.

The Aberdeen & North East Scotland FHS website is out of action today. It is reported on their Facebook page that they are moving to another domain registration agency, and hope to be back up and running soon.
