Glad you got it fixed Thrall.

Just had an automatic update from Microsoft yesterday, but I wasn't having Active X problems that I knew of, only when SP did a bit of an upgrade I think.

Grovel, grovel.

Well I did remark elsewhere today that having got my ActiveX images back, a solution to this would be desirable.....but how....

Thread tapped and sealed,

Just goes to show.

Thank you all again,

Thrall

Excellent!!! :D :D

Glad it's all sorted.

Strange though because I am always prompted if I try to send a PM without a subject.

I smell the blood of a Pop-Up Blocker :!:

David
David,
I'm not sure what you mean but the box at the top appears when I try to send a PM without a subject. ie It's not a Windows message.

What's a Pop-up  - you don't get them with AOL.

I get them too. A warning at the top of the browser page states:

"You must specify a subject when posting a new topic."

Yeah, I get those too...

Me too. My philosophy is never mind the title read the text. It's a silly invention anyway. Snail Mail has worked for long enough without needing a subject heading.

Rab, on another rant. :)

I don't, but then I use "AdSubtract" as a pop-up blocker, one of those mostly useful pieces of software which blocks those annoying ads that pop up when you are surfacing the www.

Only "mostly" as it does also occasionally treat a window popping up inside a program as an advert and blocks it :!:
