Please Help I Have Lost My Ability to View Documents

I have just returned to doing my family research after a few months, but now find I cant view documents. I have downloaded Explorer but still nothing. I,m not that technical but followed the intructions on Scotlands People Website to no avail. Can anyone suggest anything to help I would be most gratefill. :

Do you have direct download checked in your profile at Scotlands People?
