Where I heard about TalkingScots...

From a genealogy Blog. I also forwarded the info to a Scots / Celtic music list I belong to. I suspect a few of them will show up too.

Appears that the word is spreading about this great site. We've had forty four new members sign up since March 1st.

Welcome to all our new members.....happy hunting.

Gentracers

I received information about this site by recommendation from another free genealogy forum - Gentracers at www.gentracers.com - do them a return favour, pop along and see what they have to offer.

Hi,
I read this morning in my copy of Family History Monthly, that this site was now operational, and so straight away joined up.

I really missed the discussion group when it was on Scotspeople, I would keep having a look every time I went on the site, in the hope that it would be restored.
So, I`m so pleased to see that it is now here, I received so much help previously, and always enjoyed reading the various posts even I did not post anything myself.
Seeking any descendents from Ezekiel McCulloch, Port Glasgow, also Neil Barr (Greenock)

I just found out through the forum on the Genesreunited site. I was wondering what happened to all the people from the SP Forum. (I wish the GR forum had the same format as this one.)
