Where did you hear of TalkingScot? (2010)
Here at TalkingScot it is great to see so many new members joining up. We'd love to know how you found us. That can help us target future advertising more effectively.
We ask the same question each year! (a bit late this year) . It is always interesting to find out where in the world our TalkingScot members come from and how they heard about us.
All the best,
AndrewP

GOOGLE led me to a post, when I was playing around with the names Elizabeth SHARP, William BAILEY OR Robert SIMPSON 1840's and Alexander SHARP & Jean MACHAN 1850's. Had no oral history to guide my search, but GOOGLE put me in touch with a fantastic site.
Great responsive team, and backup.
Keep up the good work.

When visiting Scotland in April, a kind gentleman at the Castle Museum in Dunoon gave me this website. He actually took the time to look up my grandmother's family name, Innes, and found info on this site for me.

Hi Jane,
Welcome to
How wonderful of the gentlemen from the Castle Museum, to take the time to point you in our direction! Everyone here at TalkingScot is very friendly and so helpful in attempting to knock down a brick wall or at least loosen a few bricks.
Good Luck with your research
Marilyn

I am trying to get some info regarding Dalry - this is where my father's paternal family - Archibald's, come from and we are going to be visitng Scotland in next year. What I would really like to find out is info about the cemeteries in that, and surrounding areas. I found this site when I was on Google - hopefully it will give the info that I am after. I am from New Zealand.

Hi fimason,
I'm sure that someone who knows or lives in the area, or has done their own research there will be able to help with your questions.
All the best,
AndrewP
