Looking for contacts and info on the following families: Herdmans of Paisley, Ardrossan; Martins of Stevenston and Paisley, Curries of Kilbirnie, Robertsons and Pettigrews of Paisley and Glasgow, Smiths of Achmore.

Hi everyone

I found TalkingScot like so many other people - I was in Scotlands People and found you through their Help section.

I am the one researching their Grieve family and was amazed to find that Russell had info about my great-great uncle and his wife and where they used to live with recollections from his childhood! Words can't describe how I felt. It really helped to bring my relations to life.

I'm coming up to Edinburgh now briefly in August and again in October, so hopefully the research will take off again following some trips to National Archives, Edinburgh Room, Haddington Library etc.
