Sorry, Mary... that was me

Found a rellie's husband who seems to have kept marrying every couple of years -- and I'm not certain the wives died in between...

Then I went rushing to GRO to order more certificates

Well, Sarah, I can't claim total innocence myself

Seems you and I might both have identified a wee discrepancy about number of marriages

One of my chaps is in one place with a wifey and two kids, but the wife I already knew about is still in the address from 1901, still shown as "married" and he isn't there.

His birthplace, age and occupation are dead on!

Either this is a wildly matching coincidence or my guy has been naughty

McDonald or MacDonald (some couldn't make up their mind!), Bonner, Crichton, McKillop, Campbell, Cameron, Gitrig (+other spellings), Clark, Sloan, Stewart, McCutcheon, Ireland (the surname)

lol, looks like its going to be an expensive start for me too, however ive been waiting for this to tie up some loose ends ( or get more confused lol) so it will be worth it.

Cant wait till tomorrow when kids are at school and baby is in naptime and I get to search away :D

Be aware that 4 Northern counties plus two of the Ridings of Yorkshire, along with all of Wales and miscellaneous other bits and pieces are still not available.

Hi MB :D
So far, that has saved me a few pounds  If I put off the northern counties and Wales until next month, it will look more reasonable

Cheers,
Sarah

I need Cumberland and Yorkshire so i will have to wait anyway. I did the free search when it was piloted and saw that my Suffolk lot were still in the same place and i am racking my brains as to why or who i need to find and there is no one that is going to advance my research unlike it would if it was the Scottish census because my mums side didnt stray or dissapear. It would just be pure indulgence to look (but i do have the rest of the week off  and it is slightly cheaper than shopping  )

Thinking outloud and jumping ahead somewhat

1921 census and Northern Ireland.......depending on when in 1921 it became NI will it become part of the England and Wales census :?
Scotland - Donaldson / Moggach / Shaw / Geddes / Sim / Gray / Mackie / Richards / Joel / Coull / Mckimmie / Panton / McGregor
Ireland and Scotland - Casey / McDade / Phillips / McCandle / Dinely / Comaskey + various spellings
