Death INDEXES

Post by steiner » Fri Sep 04, 2009 12:50 pm

I found John George White born 1805, Ceylon and his wife Amelia in every English census from 1841 -71 and thenthey vanish.

They married in 1831 date and place known. I also have details of all children.

But I can't seem to find their death certificates. I reckon that because they are not in censuses from 1881 they must have died between 1871 - 1881 in England - already searched SP and nit found them.

Any one got any suggestions please?

thanks

Andy

Where were they living in 1871 and when and where was Amelia born?

I looked on Free BMD - there are lots of Amelia White deaths, none of a suitable age in the timespan for John George White.

Maggie

hi

Amelia was born in London according to censuses about 1808 approx - her father was a Samuel Phillips.

Hi, Andy

I had another look on Free BMD and on Ancestry - there are quite a few Amelia Whites who died within that timeframe who were born around 1908. Without further info it would be difficult to say that any one of them is her.

Maggie

thanks Maggie

the only other thing I know is that in the censuses they were in and around Liverpool.

Two daughter's married in 1871 - 75 and JGW was apparently recorded on marr. certif - not mentioned as deceased
