meanwhile - here is George in 1861, with an Ezekiel (born c1848) but no John - he could well have left home by then - 1851 would be so handy to link the families together

Thanks for all the wonderful look-ups. This turned out to be one of the most difficult bits of research I've ever undertaken, not least because all but two of the names and rough dates provided were wrong!

Turns out Agnes Webb was only half right too, she had been married before to an Albert Webb but started out as a Grimshaw! The Barbers only recorded a few of their Hatches and Matches but all Dispaches, they also tended to get Baptised up to 24 years after census returns indicated they were born.

Have managed to provide an accurate account for my pal's Mum going back 8 generations on a number of lines with over 500 individuals and some "New" living relations.
