Hi
I have just joined this site and was wondering if anyone out there can help me. I have a photograph of my great grandfathers grave stone but it is in Hebrew. Is there anyone out there who could translate it for me? I have tried the translation sites but as I don't have a Hebrew keybord they are not much use.

Sounds like Catriona can fix it!
In the meantime I've been looking at Cyndi's List and came up with the following, in which, somewhere, there has to be something that could help - http://www.cyndislist.com/language.htm#Foreign and http://www.cyndislist.com/jewish.htm .............

Translation
Thankyou for your replies.I did try jewishgen, that was my first thought. I did e-mail Harvey Kaplin who is the moderator of the Scottish Forum but as yet I have had no reply.(that was a month ago). I am hoping to get useful info from the inscription, as far as I know his name (before it was anglasised) his date of birth and his father's name should be on there. My father who is 80 has always wondered about his family. His own father would never talk about it. I know they came from a place called Vlotslavic in Polish Russia but don't know what region it would be in now. All of my grandfather's siblings were born in this country. Hoping to get somewhere at last!!!!!!
