Just in case any of you had gamekeeper ancestors you can't find in Scotland, I accidentally came across this listing of gamekeepers in Ireland in both the 1901 and 1911 census. It looks like about 100 on each list were born in Scotland - including my own ancestor, Peter Mitchell. Hope it might be of use to someone sometime!
