Through Falkirk Council Libraries we can access it online free if we have a full library card, full meaning a card that was in use before this crisis as they are issuing any new members with temporary numbers atm. You just log in to the Library system online then follow the link through to Ancestry.
Unsure if there is other councils doing this so if your not Falkirk maybe check out your local council and see if the same applies.
