Hi Carol,

Hope you enjoyed your [book] !

The neighbor of this elderly couple has passed on and the couple can't use a computer and both are well into their 90's and have hearing issues so its difficult to communicate by telephone.

Thanks for checking out that lead and we'll set William on the back burner for now.

Regards
Marilyn

Hi Marilyn: Have you given up on finding William Dixon yet? I just peeked at the Yellow Pages and there are two entries in BRAMPTON, Ontario. Brampton and Bramalea are right next to each other just north-west of Toronto.

You also asked about Border Crossings from USA to Canada. I just recently looked up my Great Uncle who crossed FROM Canada to USA in 1919.

Information given was Name, Ethnicity, Age, Marital Status, Date of Birth, Residence (not the full address though, just the City) Date of crossing and Destination.

Hope this helps.

Tricia

Edited with regard to living person. Frances
Searching for: John Colville/Lilias McGregor; Robert Moffat/Mary Ann Kerr; Archibald McIntyre/Lilias Colville

Hi Tricia,

No I haven't given up on finding William Dixon, but I have so little clues as to his whereabouts once he crossed over the boarder into Canada.

Thanks so much for checking the phone directory!
