Hi
Just registered and trying to view census but can't seem to get the information I am looking for although I know they are on the census as a previous search was done by another TS and just wanted to see it for myself.
I put in name age and year of birth but entry has not come up for James King b 1899 - any pointers anyone

Meg,
Your best bet with the girls might be to google for genealogy Lonaconing, MD and see if you can get someone local to look for marriage certificates.
Gabriel could have ended up just about anywhere! Do you know what his middle name was? Maybe he started using that. Or he may have died before the 1910 Census.
Carolann,
You need to put in as much information as you have: country of birth, state you are looking for him in. When I just tried the 1930 census for James King b. 1899 with no other information, I got a whole page or more of results!

Carol,
Thanks for those thoughts. Will do as you suggest.
I'm afraid I don't know what the E could stand for either
Not much to go on really is it?!
Thanks again,
Meg

Meg,
I didn't think to ask earlier, but do you need the 1880 Census record? On it Marion has become Minnie and is using McKinley as her name. The children are all there through one year old Arthur. Gabriel apparently was born after the census was taken that year.

Carol,
Thanks for the offer of the 1880 census but I do already have it
I also have the 1900 one courtesy of familysearch.
I've tried RAOGK for a Maryland look up so here's hoping!
Best wishes,
Meg
