David William Caldwell / Elizabeth Marley of Philadelphia ..

David William Caldwell was my uncle and he married Elizabeth Marley in Glasgow in 1920 before they emigrated to Philadelphia, USA.
They lived in Race Street, Philadelphia until he died in 1981.
They had two daughters, SALLY and MARY. Sally died childless, but Mary went on to have children. Mary and her family moved to another part of the States and Mary's children should be out there somewhere, perhaps wondering about their Grandfather's family in Scotland. If so, I have a large amount of family history to share with them. I am hoping that they, or someone who knows them sees this, and gets in touch. Ellen.

I assume you don't know who Mary married? Or which state she moved to?
To get myself organized I looked for David's Social Security death record to be sure of his age.

They were hard to find in the 1930 census, since they all claimed to have been born in Pennsylvania! At least I think I have finally found them. They are on Race Street, as you said, and the family consists of:

Caldwell David, 38, married at 28, in Pennsylvania (!), Lithographer in a publishing company
" Bettie, 35, married at 25, b. in Pennsylvania
" Mary, 9, b. in Pennsylvania
" Sadie, 3 6/12, b. in Pennsylvania

Hmmm. Are you sure neither of the girls are still alive? Mary would be 85 now and Sadie only 79. Anyway, assuming you know they have died, here is a death record of a plausible Sarah (i.e. Sadie or Sally) Caldwell. The middle initial E. could be for Elizabeth, her mother's name.
