If you have French-Canadian relatives, this Drouin collection is an excellent research resource. I'm a member of http://www.afgs.org/
located here in RI and they own this collection. In one afternoon, I was able to research back several hundred years, with the help of a French speaking volunteer! She made it look so easy
The Red Drouin books contain abstracts of marriage records from Quebec (1608-1760)
The index of these records were printed in English, but the Church Records are in French.
