Hello Wini,
That sounds interesting. I had a quick look on the SBS website for more info but it’s a bit fancy and I kept getting lost. I did stumble across this program screening tonight.
Two Men In A Trench: The battle of Culloden
Friday 9 Nov - 8:30 PM EDST
Archaeologists Tony Pollard and Neil Oliver peel back the layers of time to unearth the extraordinary stories of the men who fought and died on British battlefields.

The season will commence on SBS television on Sunday, December 2 with six episodes from the UK series before the premiere of the six SBS commissioned Australian episodes beginning on Sunday, January 13, 2008.

I had a look at the SBS programmes until the 17th November and it isn't .
there so it must be one of those "coming soon".
Will keep my eye out for it.
I will record tonight's Culloden because it is on at the same time as Rebus and I can't deny my husband his weekly fix.

Thanks Wini for the WDYTYA info, and to Currie for the Trench info. I just watched it, and it was great...I see it's on again next Friday night too. I must keep an eye out for it.

My husband saw the promo last night again but of course didn't note the date.He has now put doubt in my mind and said was I sure it wasn't the ABC.
He said 2 of the people are Jack Thompson and Cathy Freeman.
A couple of people he didn't recognise.

See the last part of my previous post. I was going to make it a seperate post but thought that if I did that everyone might miss the Culloden one so I tacked it onto the Culloden one 15 minutes later. It looks like everyone read the original post in the intervening 15 minutes and missed the addition to it. That's one of the dangers of editing posts.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
All the best,
Alan

Thanks Alan,
I have heard so much about it I hope it turns out to be worth watching.
S.B.S takes such a battering from so many people but I find quite a few very interesting programmes on it.
And from where I live it is the only WORLD news programme we get.
Commercial and ABC are all state based.
