Hi Everybody

I am looking for the death of my aunt Mary Swan Queen sho married a Robert Thomson they then moved to Austraila where they both died.

Mary was known as Mamie and had one daughter to her previous marriage who was called Catherine Cassidy Hammond. She married twiceand had 5 children to her 1st husband who was Irish and called Shaun. She then married a 2nd time and had at least 2 further children.

Mamie and Bob had no children and lived in Melbourne they died about the 1970/1980 I think. He died ist and she died a number of years later. Bob was 71 when he died and I think Mamie was about the same age. Can anyone help me please with this family.

do you know anyother details on Mary ? ie her parents names if she died in Melbourne before 1985 or in Victoria i should be able to find her death deatils .If you have Roberts Parents names as well that would also .

Hi Darren

Mamie was my aunt and she was the daughter of Isaac Queen and Robina Menzies. Robert was her 2nd husband and I do not have any info on him except that he died first and she died some years later. If I can find out anything else I will let you know.

Heather,
Has a look at the death index for Victoria from 1921 to 1985. It appears that she may have died after 1985 so unfortunatly no luck

Darren,

could you look up two possible deaths for me? I am cross-eyed going through the cemetries index on Ryerson :shock: looking for Helen or Nellie Mitchell (b.1846) and Charles Mitchell (b.1868) Strathdon, Aberdeenshire, Scotland and believed to have gone to Australia and certainly I cannot find them in Scotland after 1871. Just about to wade through the Victoria lists now but if you can do this quicker...!

Researching Mitchell Grassick Bowman Farquharson Wilson Allanach Leys Coutts Gauld McNerney from Crathie and Braemar, Strathdon and Glenbuchat and who moved on to Aberdeen, Glasgow, Ireland, Australia, India, Canada.
