Anyone in Australia Recognise the name? .....

Trying to find the descendants of Ramsay Wardlaw McFarlane born Midlothian 1833 son of Janet Veitch/Duncan McFarlane.
He married Helen Robb in Edinburgh 1856 & then went to Australia.They had at least one child born there 1865? John?.
I have no idea where they went.Ramsay was a Mason.He had siblings Elisabeth,Agnes,John.I think the whole family might have went there as I can find no trace after 1856.
He is a nephew of John Veitch & grandson of John Veitch/Elisabeth Tait.

No I only know that they ended up in Austalia because his GGGrandaughter contacted me through Genesr but have heard nothing back from her so I thought I would give it a bash but I think it would have been destination Sydney as we have a photo dated 1865 from there.
I am impatient & hate waiting on others convenience.

Thanks so much no I didnt have this info.Ramsay & Helen left for Oz around 1857.Thats definetly them in Williamston.They got the name of his Mother wrong she was Janet Veitch.
I take it that Matoka was the name of the ship although I have to confess I at first thought he had found himself an exotic maiden on the trip.
Turns out that his Grandparents were already in Oz.So sad that his Grandson died so young & I am supposing that Duncan is the eldest son following the Scottish naming pattern.

Absolutely not I never regret anytime spent at home.I had a fabby time & even got to throw a few snowballs.The weans (I am including those over 21 too.) were delighted by this seasonal delight as was I as I didn't have to struggle out to work on it"Oh look isn't it great?" "Turn up the central heating" The weest ones Stephen/Thomas had a ball at about 9pm making a snowman with their big cousin Fiona who manfully pulled herself out of her flu-bed to do so.The "grown-ups" admired from the windows.By the next afternoon it was mainly rained off.
A wee word of thanks for all the drivers who taxied my brother to/from Gartnavel for his dialysis sessions & off course the Nurses & other staff who worked over the holidays.He dialysis from 9pm/3 amx 3 times a week.We keep praying for another donor but.....Unfortunately none off us is a match & despite his protests we would have done it.
It was also sad as my cousins wee baby is still very ill(Grace).He is beside himself & we can do little but pray.
The New Year was a bit quiet but lovely.It was "rare" lying in bed with my wee sister laughing our heads off whilst her 21 year old daughter told us off for the noise.I saw the wonderfully clear scan off my nephew's first child & first grandchild for the aforementioned wee sister.
So the usual mixture of seasonal joys & downs & Mum & I only fell out about three times.
George's Square was looking at it's most festive as I treked from Queen's St to Buchanan to catch my bus back to London.Trafalgar Square is rubbish in comparison even with the tree.
