Immigrants Bridge Canberra ACT .....

Post by Kymbo » Wed Aug 30, 2006 6:46 am

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to let you all know there is a bridge to be built over Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra ACT, as a monument to the millions of migrants who have called Australia home since 1788. You might like to add some names to the list.

Hi Kym,

Great idea, but at $110au per name, could get quite expensive.

I find this a true example of govt privatisation gone mad - get the immigrants to pay for the bridge!

Why not select 200 000 immigrants at random!!! In fact why not select 200 000 non aboriginal Australians at random - We are all immigrants.
